Theatrics- While this program is aimed primarily at middle school students, we can adapt it for elementary school classrooms and freshman high school drama classes. Glitterrific mixes storytelling, poetry, play-writing and drama techniques while using facepainting and/or balloon twisting to help produce a small play the children will have written. These workshops enhance the CDE state standards, from reading and writing through the theater and visual arts. They encourage artistic talant, writing skills, theater arts, imaginination, self-confidence, self-expression, and social skills. The sessions can last the whole day or can be broken down into several smaller segments over a span of several days. We can concentrate on a particular subject to help you meet your classroom needs.

Another program we offer deals with Identity. We talk to your students about the different meanings and uses of color, design elements, and characters. Choosing from these different elements (such as flames, hearts, and lightening bolts) and characters (such as a cat, a robot, or a dragon), each student will then put these design elements together to create a unique face that we will paint on them. An additional step encourages the children to write a poem about the face and themselves.

She continues a tradition of African culture as a 'griot', one who preserves the people's history by passing it on orally from generatino to generation.
